The Indian Trail Town Council has approved moving forward on the creation of a Veterans Memorial in front of the Indian Trail Town Hall - starting fundraising for the project off with a pledge of $500 donations each from Councilmen Mike Head, Marcus McIntyre and Jerry Morse.
The Town of Indian Trail is currently in the design phase of the Veterans Memorial, and is working closely with VFW Post 2423 on the project. The design, as detailed in the featured video, was created by Town staff with input from the community.
The Veterans Memorial will be a place for veterans and families to gather for reflection, and for the community to come together in honor of those who have sacrificed for our nation.

Supporting Construction of the Indian Trail Veterans Memorial Garden
Those interested can purchase a plaque in honor of a loved one to support bringing this worthwhile endeavor to Indian Trail, or become one of our Community Sponsors through a donation. Plaque donations start at $100, with all funds raised through the purchase supporting construction of the Memorial. Call 704-821-5401 and ask for Trena Sims, or email TSS@indiantrail.org for more information on making a donation in a loved one's name.
Community members also can donate to sponsor the project, and be included on a Community Sponsors dedication. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available.
Additionally, a Golf Tournament was held on June 30 at Emerald Lakes to support the project. It was organized by Mayor Pro Tem David Cohn and marked the official beginning of work on the Veterans Memorial.
