About
Todd Barber was elected to the Indian Trail Town Council in November of 2019 for a four-year term. He was named Mayor Pro Tem at the Dec. 14, 2021, Town Council meeting and serves as the Council representative to the Town’s Stormwater Advisory Committee.
Mr. Barber is a supporter of the Town’s contract with the Union County Sheriff’s Office and Indian Trail’s wonderful parks. He is looking for smart economic growth, improved infrastructure to ease traffic flow, and better stormwater drainage maintenance. He also wants to see the tax rate remain low.
Council Member Barber's family has a small business in Indian Trail. He is a member of the National Alliance of Mental Illness. He's the former President of the Indian Trail Lions Club as well honored as a Jack Stickley Fellow and an NC Lions Life Membership. He has been a scout troop board member, assistant scoutmaster, church elder, Upward Sports Coach, Sunday School teacher, and SIT member at Sun Valley Middle School.
Council Member Barber and his wife, Lisa, have lived in Indian Trail for 20 years. They have six children, one grandchild, and pets, including Little Joe T, the ferret.
