If you’re looking for a way to give back this holiday season, Deputy Taylor Hackney with the Union County Sheriff’s Office is holding a coat drive seeking new and gently used warm coats for those in need in our community. A donation box is available at Town Hall (315 Matthews-Indian Trail Road) until Dec. 31. Town Hall hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 28 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
The Sheriff’s Office is also partnering with the Christmas Bureau to collect toys for children and teens ages 0-2, 10-12 and 13-18 years old. You can drop off a toy donation to the Indian Trail Sheriff’s Office at 130 Blythe Drive, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
